Marquetry table

This table had many loose sections on the top with some missing pieces including a circular mother of pearl section inside the decorative shield. The frame was also loose, so this was repaired and then the work started on the top. The client remembered a mother of pearl detail in the centre of the table, so this was recreated and the missing pieces of the design replaced. Finally, the top was repolished and brought back to its former glory. Quite an unusual piece which the client remembered from her childhood and she was delighted with the result.
