Tunbridge ware jewellery box

We have recently completed the restoration of this lovely tunbridge ware box, with mother of pearl inlay. This box was in a poor state, missing most of its inlay on the outside and the original internal compartments were also missing. We painstakingly replaced the mother of pearl and other inlay and cleaned and polished the outer surface. Inside we made a new tray and re-fitted the interior to the client’s requirements, including new velvet lining to the bottoms of all the compartments. A labour of love but a real transformation in the end!
